Henry Knute Svenson (1897-1986) (Harvard, Ph.D. 1929) was curator of Brooklyn Botanical Garden, N.Y., 1930-1946, and chief botanist for the Vincent Astor Expedition to the Galapagos Islands in 1930; curator in forestry and botany at American Museum of Natural History in N.Y., 1946- .
